In competitive sports, proper
form enhances performance and, as a result, increases speed, quickness,
and agility. One aspect of proper form in running related to sports
is that the angle between the lower arm and the upper arm is maintained
at approximately a 90º angle. However, it can be difficult for
a runner to maintain proper arm form because often times they are
not taught to keep their arms at their sides at a 90º angle,
while concentrating on the other aspects of proper form as well as
the dynamics of running. I have created the perfect solution to keeping
your arms at a correct right angle while running with the Byrd Band
Arm Trainer. The Byrd Band Arm Trainer was designed after many years
of working with my two daughters who currently compete in Basketball,
Soccer, and Track and Field. I myself competed for the University
of Florida, Track and Field team and was a National Champion. –

Instructions
The
Arm Trainer is made of a lightweight elastic material that will allow
the arm to move freely but help the arms to maintain a 90º angle to
improve speed and efficiency.
Step 1
Slide the larger opening of the Arm Trainer on the upper part of
the bicep in the crease of the arm. Cord connecting the bicep to the
wrist should be in front of your arm.
Step 2
Slide the smaller opening over the hand on to the wrist. This will
keep the arm almost at a 90º angle. Now you can perform various speed
and agility drills.
Always
use extreme caution when using the Arm Trainer and limit training
activity until the individual is comfortable with use. |
